Want to create a custom competition, then click "Create a Private Competition"
Follow these 5 Easy steps
Step 1 - Competitions Basics
Competition Name: You can always go with something traditional like James but if you are going to create a competition for the public, it always helps to add some details example - NFL Week 15 Pick'em
Visibility: Want to limit your competition to just friends, select Private, this will require a passcode or invite for your friends to be able to join. Later, you'll get the ability to invite them directly via BettorEdge social and be able to copy a link and message to share.
Ready to challenge the whole BettorEdge Platform, select Public. This will make the competition show up in the Competitions page and allow everyone to join.
Competition Type: We have two types, Pick-Em or Wager to determine how players pick events. Pick-em’s are straight forward, the more correct picks, the higher up the leaderboard you go, regardless of the odds.
Wagers take into account the odds and reward players for picking correct positions with higher payouts. In a Wager competition, each player is given a balance of 1000. You can distribute your balance however and whenever you want across the games that have been chosen. When picking in a wager competition, you get to choose the amount you place on each pick and the payout is determined by the odds. So there is a lot more strategy than Pick-ems.
Time Parameter: This is how long the competition will last Event based means the competition is over after all included events are over. Time based is for setting a longer period, ie all of the playoffs. Time based is currently only available in special instances.
Sports: Chose the league or sport that you want users to make their picks on. You'll be able to choose the games later.
Pick Types: You can limit the bet types that are included in your competition. Users can select Winner, Margins (aka Spread), Total Points or open it to all types of picks by selecting All Markets
Included Events: Select All to include all active market events from the designated Sport that you chose earlier. Custom will start with 0 events in the market and later you choose which events to include. In Step 2, you will be allowed to review which events are in the competition.
Payout Options: How are we gonna split up the pot of cash when this is all over.
Outpace - Choose a competitor to be the "Pacer", everyone who finishes ahead of them splits the pot. If the Pacer wins, they take all the money and bragging rights.
Max Tickets - This limits the number of Bettors who can enter. Remember the more entries the larger the pot.
Step 2 - Add Events
After setting up your options, you now get to choose which events to include in your competition.
Select the toggle at the bottom of each line to include it. If you would like, you can modify lines after selecting to include an event.

Required Number of Picks - Here is where you select how many picks each person has to make in the competition. All Events Included - means they have to make a pick on every event. You can up the strategy by selecting Limited and limiting how many picks they can make.
Step 3 - Setting Ticket Price
Determine the size of the pot by setting how much it costs to enter the competition.
Step 4 - Invite Players
